Dental Care Vigilance Program

The Dental Care Vigilance Program was created under the provisions of ANMAT Regulation 7485/11 with the purpose of collecting, evaluating and organizing information about adverse events related to dental care medical devices with a view to ensuring their quality, efficacy and safety. The Dental Care Vigilance Program, which operates under the governance of ANMAT Office of the Director of Medical Devices, aims at fostering the organization of a dental care vigilance network made up of its primary peripheral providers, which will be determined by the ministry of health of each province and the City of Buenos Aires. Likewise, the Program has an Advisory Committee made up of representatives of the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy and Biochemistry, Engineering and Dentistry of the University of Buenos Aires. Representatives of Confederación Odontológica de la República Argentina (CORA), of Asociación Odontológica Argentina (AOA) and of the National Academy of Dentistry, among other institutions, are also part of the Advisory Committee.
